The Edge 35 is a new optic for me! I've only recently purchased it and was busy beta testing the Soft Focus II so my time with this optic was limited. I can't wait to get out and try some street photography with this lens, but since my first love is macro, I had to give a go and played with it for a few minutes! I'm continually shooting so don't be surprised when new images pop up!
Edited to add: Well, I have had a chance to use this a bit more and let me tell you I am wondering what took me so long! I have used this for landscape, seascape and gardens. Next up will have to be city scapes!
The Edge 35 has a aperture range of f/3.5 to f/22. The optic is part of the Lensbaby Optic swap system. You'll need a housing, such as the Composer Pro II or one of the older Composers. The Composer rotates and allows you to shift the plane of focus away from center.
To get a slice of focus you'll tilt the Composer optic up or down for a horizontal slice and left and right for a vertical slice. To get a diagonal slice, imagine a square in front of your lens and point the optic towards the virtual corner.
The Edge 35 is currently being sold for $249.95 USD or can be bought in combinations with the Composer Pro II for $449.95 USD.
